PASWI Announces 78th National Convention and International Conference on Bridging the Digital Divide
The Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI), recognized as the premier organization of social workers in the Philippines, is proud to announce its upcoming 78th National Convention and International Conference. This landmark event will be held virtually via Zoom from August 25 to 29, 2026.

Addressing Inequality in the Information Age
The theme for this year’s convention is “Digital Divide and Social Inequality in the Information Age: Implications to Social Work Practice”. As society becomes increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure, the “digital divide” has emerged as a critical barrier to social justice. The conference will focus on how these technological gaps exacerbate existing social inequalities.

Key Issues and Affected Populations
Participants will explore several pressing challenges identified by the association, including:

  • Unequal access to the internet and essential digital devices
  • Significant gaps in digital literacy and technical skills
  • Limited access to vital online services, including education, healthcare, and employment opportunities
