PASWI accommodated and facilitated the 3-day learning journey of the Social Work Professions Council of Thailand (SWPCT). The Social Work Professions Council of Thailand (SWPCT) arrived last August 13, 2023. On the second day, the Social Work Professions Council of Thailand visited the Centro Escolar University to learn about the Philippine Social Work policy, profession and practice.

Dr. Lolita Pablo discussed about “Social Work Education and Role of Social Workers in School Setting” followed by Mr. Rosauro Luntayao, PASWI President, on his discussion about “The Role of PASWI: To the Social Work Profession, its Members, and Nation.” Lastly, Hon. Ely Acosta of PRC-PRB discussed about “Role of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – Professional Regulatory Board (PRB)”.

The third day was scheduled for Learning Journey. The Social Work Professions Council of Thailand together with PASWI President and Executive Director visited the following agencies/community: (1) A Home for the Angels: Crisis Home for Abandoned Babies Foundation Inc., (2) Kanlungan sa Er-Ma: Child Care Ministry and (3) Parola Community & Parola Inter-Agency Network (PIAN). The visitors were also brought to the Historical Sites and Landmark within Manila.
